(CRESSON, Pa.) – Adrianna Stricek (So., Harrisburg, Pa. / Trinity) poured in 27 points and pulled down 16 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Wilson fell on the road at Mount Aloysius on Tuesday evening. The rebound mark set a new career high while giving Stricek her 15th career double double.
The Basics
Score: Wilson 58, Mount Aloysius 70
Venue: Athletic Convocation & Wellness Center
Records: Wilson 0-2, Mount Aloysius 1-2
How It Happened
- After a defensive start by both teams to open the game, the Mounties started to pull ahead down the stretch of the first quarter with a 13-4 run to end the frame. Consecutive buckets by Yaya Cannon (Gr., Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Catholic) and Laela Robinson (So., Lancaster, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) helped cut the deficit to eight at 19-11 early in the second quarter, but Mount Aloysius kept the Phoenix from getting any closer. Free throws by Stricek, Jewels Torres (So., York, Pa. / West York), and Becca Cordell (So., Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro) got the Phoenix back within eight with 90 seconds before the half before the Mounties used a layup from Molly Kosmack and a 3-pointer by Jade Love-Morris to go into the break up 31-18.
- The Blue and White had trouble making a dent in the deficit as the Mounties extended their lead to 20 at the start of the fourth quarter. Wilson then went on its best run of the day with a 14-4 outburst capped by a Stricek layup on a dish from Robinson with 4:33 to play. Another Stricek lay-in made it 66-58, but time ran out on the Phoenix.
Inside The Numbers
- Stricek's 16 boards sets a new personal record. The previous best mark was 15 coming in Wilson's win against Notre Dame on February 1 last season.

- Torres also reached double figures for Wilson as she finished with 11 points, one shy of her personal best. She was able to flash some defensive skills as she made three steals on the night.
- Wilson bested the Mounties in second chance opportunities outscoring them 19-12. The Phoenix also outscored MAC 21-13 in points off turnovers. The hosts bested the middle, however, outscoring Wilson 36-26.
- The Mounties featured a quartet of double figure scorers. Chloe Clemons and Molly Kosmack led the team with 16 points each.
