(LANGHORNE, Pa.) – Gary Robertson (Jr., Washington D.C. / Potomac / Bryant and Stratton) poured in 24 points, but it wasn't enough as Wilson dropped it's final game of a six-game road stretch at Cairn on Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss to the Highlanders, the Phoenix still finished their longest slate of away games with a 4-2 record.
The Basics
Score: Wilson 58, Cairn 69
Venue: Mason Activity Center
Records: Wilson 7-6, 1-1 CSAC; Cairn 7-6, 2-0 CSAC
How It Happened
- Cairn jumped out to an early lead going up 15-4 6:24 into the game. The Phoenix didn't give up, however, and clawed their way back to within two points following a Robertson triple that made the score 20-18 with 4:23 left in the half. The Highlanders were able to answer and extended their lead once again before going into halftime up 31-24.
- The Highlanders opened up the second half with the first basket to go up nine, but the Phoenix were able to come back and make it a one-possession game once again. Darryl Garib (Sr., Dallas, Texas / Forest Park) sparked a small 6-0 run with a bucket. After a pair of Robertson free throws, Antonio Bussey (Sr., Aiken, S.C. / Aiken / Claflin) scored on a layup after an offensive rebound to make the score 33-30. Still, the hosts were able to push their lead once again. This time it went 16 points after a Matt Lucas 3-pointer made it 58-42 with 6:02 to play. Still, Wilson never gave up and battled back to make it a two-possession game once again. Unfortunately time ran out on the Phoenix as Cairn was able to answer Wilson's push.

- The Highlanders had another pair in double-figures as Jesse Rivera added 11 and Kameron Clark added 10.
