How It Happened (Match 1 vs. Wilkes)
- Kills by Karyssa Faith (Fy., Clear Spring, Md. / Saint Maria Goretti) and Deah Menedis (So., Reisterstown, Md. / Franklin) gave the Phoenix some early momentum, but an 8-0 Colonels run put the opener out of reach as Wilkes took a 1-0 lead.
- A 6-0 rally in the second gave Wilson some leverage once again as it took a 6-5 lead. Niki Schussler (So., Chambersburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley Christian) had an ace to highlight the rally. Wilkes answered with a 7-1 run to take control and go on to take the second set. That momentum carried into the third as the Colonels completed the sweep.
