(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Deah Menedis (So., Reisterstown, Md. / Franklin) downed seven kills, but it wasn't enough as Wilson fell to visiting Cairn in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon. The Highlanders used a balanced attack while the Phoenix offense struggled to keep momentum.

How It Happened
- The Phoenix kept close in the early goings of the opening set before a 7-0 run put the Highlanders in control. The visitors extended the rally to 13-1 en route to the 25-11 win. That momentum carried into the second set where Cairn jumped out to a 9-1 lead which helped give them a 2-0 lead.
- Wilson came alive in the third and battled nearly point for point through the first 22 points. A kill by Menedis gave Wilson a 6-3 lead and another by Karyssa Faith (Fy., Clear Spring, Md. / Saint Maria Goretti) made it 7-4. Cairn eventually tied the game at 11-all, however, at the start of a 5-0 rally that gave the Highlanders the lead for good.
Inside The Numbers
- Menedis led the team with seven kills and nearly had match-high honors as she was just one shy of Cairn's Kali Burres-Cheeley who tallied eight.
- Allyson Garcelon (Fy., Shrewsbury, Pa. / Susquehannock) showcased her versatility by leading the team in assists with six, blocks with two, and serving an ace.
- Defensively Menedis also topped the team with six digs.
