CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Wilson College field hockey team faced off against the Blazers of Hood College earlier today in non-conference action. The Phoenix (3-0, 1-0 CSAC) defeated the Blazers (0-3, 0-0 MAC) convincingly, 4-0.
How It Happened: Graduate Student
Allison Reber (Narvon, PA., Garden Spot) kicked the scoring off the Wilson with a goal just over four minutes into the contest. Less than a minute later, senior
Breeann Sheaffer (Middleburg, PA., Midd-West) notched another goal for Wilson, stretching their lead to 2-0. Later on, still in the first quarter, the Phoenix added another goal. This time it was junior
Alexis Pflumm (Camden, Del., Caesar Rodney) who found the back of the net off an assist from freshman
Brea Kelso (Shippensburg, PA, Shippensburg). Wilson waltzed into halftime leading, 3-0. In the third quarter, the Phoenix chipped in another goal, this time it was sophomore
Hayley Koller (Atglen, PA, Octorara) with the unassisted goal. The Phoenix would cruise to a 4-0 victory.

Pflumm collected her first. Junior
Abigail Rosenberry (Shippensburg, PA., Shippensburg) and
Kelso led the team with one assist each. Altogether, Wilson tallied 15 shots, including nine on goal, while limiting their opponents to just six shots total, including one on goal.
