CHAMBERSBURG, Pa- The Wilson College Phoenix took on the Southern Virginia Knights in an exciting field hockey match-up. The Phoenix topped the Knights with a final score of 13-0.
How It Happened: The Phoenix started strong, scoring seven goals in the first period. The momentum continued into the second period with the Phoenix netting three more goals to reach halftime with a score of 10-0. In the second half, the scoring action calmed a bit with the Phoenix scoring two goals in the third period and one in the fourth to end the game with a final score of 13-0.
Inside The Box Score: Nine different Phoenix were able to score against the Knights. Freshman
Jordan Hastie (Frederick, MD, Governor Thomas Johnson), lead the Phoenix in goals, ending the game with a hat trick.
Jordan Blizzard (Westminster, MD, Francis Scott Key), and Emma Bounds (Carlisle, PA, Boiling Springs), scored two goals apiece.
