CHAMBERSBURG, Pa- The Wilson College Phoenix faced off against the Bison of Gallaudet University today in a women's volleyball match-up. The Phoenix (0-3, 0-0 CSAC) battled hard in the first set to secure the first set. The Bison (3-7, 0-0 UEC) regrouped and fought their way back into the match, winning the next three sets and taking the game. Final set scores were Wilson 25-22, Gallaudet 25-13, Gallaudet 25-19, Gallaudet 25-20.
How It Happened: In the first set, the Phoenix and Bison started off going point for point until the Phoenix went on a three-point streak, boosting the Phoenix above the Bison. With the set tied at 13, Wilson managed a four-point run that brought the score to 17-13. Minutes later, the Phoenix had another four-point run to sustain their lead over the Bison. The Phoenix went on to win the first set 25-22 in an intense match-up. The Bison came out hard in the second set and went on a nine-point scoring run to win the set 25-13. In the third set, the Phoenix fought hard to rise up against the Bison but ultimately fell with a final score of 25-19. The Phoenix continued to fight hard throughout the last set with a couple of bursts of multiple points in a row. However, despite the efforts put forth by the Phoenix, they were beaten by the Bison with a final score of 25-20.

Anika Eigen-Zucchi (Washington, D.C., St. Johns College High School) led the team in kills totaling 14 kills over four sets. Sophomore
Myla Owens (Westampton, NJ., Rancocas Valley Regional High School) was another top performer of the match, earning the top spot in assists with 33 assists and led the team in aces on serves with three aces.
