FREDERICK, Md.- The Phoenix traveled to Frederick, Maryland today to face off against the Hood College Blazers in a non-conference match-up. Wilson ( 0-8, 0-2 CSAC) fell to the Blazers ( 7-4-0, 0-2 MAC) 4-0 after a strong first-half showing by Hood College.
How It Happened: Hood College came out blazing and scored their first goal of the game in the fifth minute of action. The Blazers netted their next goal late in the 13th minute after multiple corner kicks and shot attempts. The Phoenix tried to rally from a 0-2 deficit but could not find the back of the net, while the Blazers found the goal two more times in the last 15 minutes of the game bringing the score to its final 4-0. In the second half, Wilson played a strong defensive half and did not let up any additional goals.

Andrew Hetzer (Chambersburg, PA., Cumberland Valley Christian), led the team in saves, totaling nine of the Phoenix's 10 saves, while junior
Billy Merk (Macungie, PA, Lehigh Carbon Community College) tallied the additional saves. Freshman
Jorge Cortez (Columbia, TN, Spring Hill High School), led the team in shots with 3 shots and 2 shots on goal.
