ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Wilson College women's volleyball team continued their road stretch as they traveled to Elizabethtown College for a nonconference match. The Phoenix (2-3) fell to the Blue Jays (4-1) three sets to nil with scores of 25-21, 25-19, and 15-11.
Inside the Box Score:Â Sophomore
Tia Jones (Springfield, VA., Lake Braddock) led Wilson with eight kills during the match, she would end the night with a hitting percentage of .214. Sophomore
Tioleaoauli Posiulai (Waipahu, HI., University Laboratory School)Â followed that up with five kills of her own while freshman
Jenna Mongold (Mercersburg, PA., James Buchanan) finished with two.
Mongold also led the Phoenix with 11 assists,Â
Posiulai added two, while
Jones and sophomoreÂ
Madison Coy (Indiana, PA., Penns Manor) each added one assist.Â
Wilson finished the match with 17 kills on 78 attempts against 12 errors for a hitting percentage of .064. Elizabethtown finished with 39 kills on 111 attempts against 12 errors for a hitting percentage of .243.Â
Up Next: The women's volleyball will be back in action this Saturday, September 7. The Phoenix will host a tri-match against Albright College (2-0) and Wilkes University (2-3). The matches are set for 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M., respectively.Â
