Women's Volleyball Trounces Tigers

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.,- The Wilson College Women's Volleyball trounced the Tigers of Trinity University this afternoon in a nonconference matchup. The Phoenix put up three sets to none in a dominating win against the Tigers here on campus at Wilson College. 

How It Happened- Wilson started off the match hot and never looked back. The Phoenix cruised during their first set, they quickly gathered 25 points while holding Trinity to just seven points in the set. The second set started the same way with Wilson holding Trinity to just 8 while racking up 25 points. Wilson started the third set with more of the same; the Phoenix rounded off the set 25-11, winning the match three sets to none.The whole team was involved in the match, as the Phoenix had 6 different players compile kills during play today. 

Inside The Box Score- Freshman Kristina Zuniga (McAllen, TX., King George) led both teams with 16 assists. Freshman Tioleaoauli Posiulai (Waipahu, HI., University Laboratory School) led the Phoenix with eight kills while senior Hanna Quarry (Elizabethtown, Pa., Elizabethtown) piled up seven kills. Sophomore Lizzy Farnes (Coconut Creek, Fl., Coral Springs), freshman Tia Jones (Springfield, Va., Lake Braddock), and Zuniga all had two kills. Junior Laury Jean Baptiste (Fort Lauderdale, Fl., Coconut Creek)  added a kill of her own.

Up Next- The Phoenix will head to Allentown, Pa where they will face the Falcons of Cedar Crest College on Wednesday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m.
