LANCASTER, Pa. - The Wilson College women's volleyball team hit the road for a pair of matches at Lancaster Bible College. The Phoenix (1-11, 1-4) dropped the opener to the host Chargers (9-10, 5-1) 3-0 by scores of 25-8, 25-11, and 25-18. In the second match of the day, the Phoenix fell to the Royals of Eastern Mennonite (5-12) 3-0 by scores of 25-4, 25-14, and 25-6.

How It Happened: Phoenix sophomore Laury Jean Baptiste (Fort Lauderdale, Fl., Coconut Creek) had a solid first match s she led the Phoenix with 5 kills and 2 service aces. Junior Hanna Quarry (Elizabethtown, Pa., Elizabethtown) added 2 kills, 2 service aces and an assist. During the second match of the day, Jean-Baptiste tallied a pair of kills and 6 blocks and an assist. Freshman Delaney Keown (Margate, Fl., Coconut Creek) added 2 kills, 1 block and 2 digs.

Inside the Box Score: In the opener against the Chargers, the Phoenix had 12 kills against 15 errors on 78 attempts for a -.038 attacking percentage, while the Chargers posted 29 kills against 11 errors on 71 attempts for a .254 attacking percentage. Against the Royals, the Phoenix had 5 kills against 12 errors on 50 attempts for a -140 attacking percentage, while the Royals had a 26 kills against 10 errors on 56 attempts for a .286 attacking percentage.

Up Next: Wilson is back in action on Saturday, October 14 against SUNY Cobleskill and Morrisville State College with the matches hosted by Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.
