Wilson Basketball Ends Season With Loss On Road

Box Score

The Phoenix women's basketball team dropped their season finale this afternoon to the College of Saint Elizabeth, 84 -27.

College of Saint Elizabeth jumped out to an early lead against the Phoenix taking advantage of Wilson turnovers.  The Eagles took a 50-22 edge at the close of the first half and recorded a 57.5 field goal percentage (23-of-40).  Wilson was unable to snatch many rebounds, giving the Eagles more scoring opportunities.

Cold shooting plagued Wilson in the second half as they were just 1-of-20 (5.0%) from the paint.  The Eagles capitalized on Wilson's errors and continued to record solid scoring numbers. The Phoenix offense struggled in the second half, as they scored just five points.

Sophomore Morgan Wonders led the Phoenix in scoring with 9 points and 9 rebounds.  Freshmen Teniera Prioleau, Nana Ama Ohene-Manu and sophomore Alexis Ankro contributed with 5 points apiece.
