Phoenix Fall To College of St. Elizabeth

Box Score The Wilson women's basketball team snapped a two game win streak this afternoon, falling to the College of Saint Elizabeth 77-57.

Wilson suffered a cold start to the game as the Eagles jumped out to a 20 point lead midway through the first half. The College of Saint Elizabeth led Wilson 40-22 at the close. The Phoenix shot just 20.0% (7 for 35) from the paint.

The Phoenix were able to rally in the second half, but turnovers left Wilson trailing behind late. Wilson's shooting improved slightly as they shot 31.0% (9 for 29) from the floor but the team's 27 turnovers hurt their chances for a comeback.

Senior Vanessa Whitfield had another all-star performance recording the double-double of 41 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Morgan Wonders recorded 11 points.

The team continues their final home stand on Wednesday, February 5^th when they host Penn State Abington at 6pm.
