Katie Barnett enters her third year as head women’s volleyball coach here at Wilson College.
During her first year as women’s volleyball coach, Barnett has guided the Phoenix to their highest win total in the past four seasons, while setting the foundation for years to come. The women’s team also made their first appearance in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) final four during the 2019 season. Barnett will also coach the men’s team during their 2020 season.
In addition to her coaching duties, Barnett is also the Director of Operations, for Wilson Athletics, where she coordinates all aspects of game day operations for all varsity sports teams. Barnett is also a coach for Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camp where she coaches high school athletes on the principles and keys to help enhance their play.
Prior to Wilson, Barnett spent time as an assistant women’s volleyball coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where the team made their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2002. Barnett attended The University of Tampa where she received her degree in Sport Management prior to obtaining her masters from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Sport Science.
Barnett resides in Frederick, Maryland with her husband, Justin.
