Dylan Ward was hired as the head coach of the Wilson women's basketball team in June 2024 after serving as the team's assistant coach for two seasons. During his time with the Blue and White, the Phoenix have made the postseason all four seasons. During the 2025-26 season, Wilson won the statistical national championship for free throw attempts per game and was No. 4 in free throws made per game. The Phoenix also ranked in the top 25 in overall rebounds and defensive rebounds per game.
Ward's first season in 2024-25 saw the Phoenix finish third nationally in both free throws attempted. Their points allowed was No. 21 nationally as they advanced to the postseason yet again.

In his two seasons as an assistant coach, Wilson went to the postseason each year and included a CSAC semifinals appearance in 2022-23 after the Phoenix had its third-best season in program history.

Prior to Ward coming to Wilson, he was on the coaching staff at Cumberland Valley Christian School in Chambersburg from 2014 to 2022. He took over the head coaching job in 2018 and increased the team's wins by 15 games in his first season. During his second year the Blazers improved even more and finished with a record of 23-9.
Outside of coaching Ward also worked at Carlisle Christian Academy and Cumberland Valley Christian as a middle school educator and athletic director.
Ward earned his undergraduate degree from Davis College in 2014. He played for the Falcons for four seasons and holds the all-time program record for games played. While there he led Davis to the Small Bible College National Championship in 2010 and 2012.
