Hoke was named interim men’s volleyball coach in January of 2022, earning full head coach status in the spring of 2022. 

In his first season as head coach, Hoke led the charge to a .500 winning average in the conference. In 2023, he guided the Phoenix to the most wins and had the most athletes recognized in the All-CSAC selection in program history. In the past two seasons, Wilson had seven All-CSAC selections with a CSAC Rookie of the Year in 2023. 

Hoke is a 2019 graduate of Wilson and was a four-year starter for the men's volleyball program. He is one of the most decorated players in the short history of the men's volleyball program. He was an all-conference performer his senior year and holds the Wilson record for career kills (1,043), attacks (3,064) and points (1,195).
