Mark Seidenburg was named head coach of the men's basketball program in April of 2021. Since his arrival, Seidenburg has helped the Phoenix reach unprecedented success with back-to-back conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances.
The first came during the 2021-22 season where the Blue and White went 18-8 overall and 12-2 in the CSAC. The Phoenix earned the top seed in the conference tournament and proceeded to defeat both Keystone and Cairn at home to cut down the nets.
The Phoenix ran it back the following year by going 19-9 overall, 11-3 in the league, and defeated both Rosemont and Keystone in the CSAC tournament before taking on defending national champion and No. 1 Randolph-Macon in the NCAA Championship first round. Along the way Wilson set new program marks which included a 12-game win streak and a game in which the Phoenix shot 75.0% percent from the field in a win against Rosemont, the second-best performance in a single game by anyone in Division III.
Seidenburg came to Wilson after previously serving as the head coach at Delaware Valley University from 2016-2021. Seidenburg brings a tremendous amount of experience to Wilson. During his tenure as the head coach at Delaware Valley, the Aggies made the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom playoffs twice and in his first season the team had a record-tying 11 wins in conference play and earned the league regular season title. He was named the MAC Freedom Coach of the Year in 2017. His teams have also achieved an NCAA Atlantic Regional Ranking, five All-MAC selections, a program record for single semester team G.P.A., and twenty All-MAC Academic Honor Roll recipients.
Prior to Delaware Valley, Seidenburg served as the associate head coach at Messiah College. He was the associate head coach and junior varsity head coach with the Falcons as they went 51-28 over those four campaigns, including a memorable 19-win season in 2013-14.
Prior to Messiah, Seidenburg was an assistant coach and recruitment coordinator for Penn State Harrisburg for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 campaigns. The Lions went 26-6 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play over the two years and they captured the conference title in 2011. Seidenburg's first collegiate coaching position was at Dickinson College in 2009.
Seidenburg was a captain as a freshman member of the Manor Junior College basketball team before playing one season with Elizabethtown College. He graduated from Elizabethtown with a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in business administration in 2006.
