Devonte Merritt

DeVonte Merritt

DeVonte Merritt enters his third season as an Assistant Basketball Coach of the Phoenix. Prior to joining the Wilson College Men's basketball team, Coach Merritt spent 3 seasons a member of the Penn State Mont Alto basketball team.  At Mont Alto, Merritt helped lead his team to two national championship playoff appearances including a 2nd place finish during his final season. He received the honor of being named to the All-American, All-Conference, and All-Tournament team during his tenure.

As a high school player, Merritt also spent 3 seasons as a member of the Chambersburg Trojans under Coach Shawn Shreffler and Brian Zoeller.

Coach Merritt is a 2015 graduate of Penn State Mont Alto with a Bachelor's degree in business management and marketing, and a 2008 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

Coach Merritt works for AT&T and lives in Chambersburg with his beautiful daughter Nizaya and his son Prince.
