Vaughn Parker was named the head coach of the Wilson baseball team in July 2023. He’s the second head coach in program history and was promoted to the position after serving as an assistant coach in 2022. During his time with the Phoenix, the Blue and White have advanced to the postseason all four seasons.

As an assistant in 2023, he helped Wilson go 34-10 and set multiple program records including most wins in a season. Wilson was also the 2023 Division III statistical champion for batting average, runs per game, and slugging percentage. The team's batting average not only led Division III, but was also the best across all of college baseball regardless of division or association. The Phoenix repeated as the top hitting team in the nation with a batting average of .350 in 2024.

Prior to coming to Wilson, Parker played for Mount St. Mary's and appeared in 154 games for the Mountaineers. During his time there he was named to the All-Northeast Conference Team. He graduated in May 2019 with a bachelor's degree in business communications.

Following his career at The Mount, Parker played professionally for two years with the Trinidad Triggers and the Monterey Amberjacks. He was also successful in this venture as he was named a Pecos League All-Start.
