Phoenix Keep Soaring in the Classroom with Record 72 Scholar-Athletes

(LATHAM, N.Y.) – The United East Conference announced its 2025-26 Winter and Spring All-Academic Team and Wilson is once again among the league leaders. The Phoenix had 72 student-athletes received academic accolades across the spring semester to bring the full year total to 129 across 11 sports.

The number breaks the Wilson record for winter and spring seasons for a third consecutive season, surpassing 68 from last year and 66 the previous year. It's the third consecutive year of at least 60 conference scholar athletes and the fifth consecutive year of having at least 50.

A total of 1,073 student-athletes were selected across the conference representing 14 full-time members and associate members.

To earn Winter and Spring All-Academic Team recognition, a student-athlete competing in a United East-sponsored winter or spring sport must achieve a minimum 3.2 grade point average during the winter and spring semesters and remain in good standing with their team.

Student-athletes that were selected competed in winter and spring sports, including men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's volleyball, men's golf, men's and women's tennis, baseball, softball, men's and women's lacrosse, women's flag football and men's and women's outdoor track and field.
