(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Wilson secured a bye to the semifinals in the United East Championship as it swept Immaculata in the regular season finale on Monday evening. The offense was on full display as a trio of Phoenix hit in double-figures while the team as a whole hit .400 for the fourth time this season.

How It Happened
- A quick 4-2 start by the Mighty Macs was no issue for the Phoenix to overcome as they took the lead with a 5-0 run with kills from Jackson Wolfe (So., Abbottstown, Pa. / New Oxford) and Wes Reall Jr. (FY, Carlisle, Pa. / Big Spring). While Immaculata stayed close, Wilson started to pull away in the middle game, stretching a 12-11 lead into a 22-13 advantage. Wolfe was a catalyst during the stretch with two kills and an ace. He added another to end the frame and give Wilson the 1-0 lead.
- Wilson didn't let up and controlled the second set start to finish. The Phoenix didn't allow Immaculata to score consecutive points until it was 19-10. That started a 5-2 stretch for Immaculata before the Phoenix scored four of five to take a 2-0 lead.
- The Phoenix kept the momentum and opened the third with a 7-1 run with Demetrius Simmons (Sr., Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Mechanicsburg) scoring three kills and Wolfe putting down another two. The duo also teamed up for a block. Wolfe and Jacob McCoy (Sr., York, Pa. / Spring Grove) rejected another Immaculata attempt before Wolfe aced a serve to make it 10-3. Simmons scored another pair of kills during a 7-2 stretch to give the Phoenix a 18-8 lead. Immaculata didn't go away quietly and strung together seven of the next eight points. The visitors got within three, but that was the closest they could get as Wilson finished the sweep with kills from Ryan Koontz (Jr., York Haven, Pa. / Red Land) and Simmons.
