(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Jalen Bowie (Sr., Frederick, Md. / Frederick / Shippensburg) posted back-to-back double-doubles with 16 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Wilson succumbed to St. Mary's in United East action on Tuesday evening. The Seahawks opened the game with a 12-0 run, and while the Phoenix threatened at times, the Blue and White were unable to pull ahead.

How It Happened
- It was a cold start for the Phoenix as they couldn't get a shot to fall until Tobias Reese (So., Mansfield, Texas / St. Elizabeth (Del.)) sank a 3-pointer with 13:43 left in the first half. The visitors soon pushed the lead up to 20-5 before Wilson caught fire and climbed back into contention. Travis Blake Jr. (FY, Baltimore, Md. / North County) provided a much-needed spark with a backdoor layup on a feed from Bowie before Jalen Pierce (Sr., Richmond, Va. / Collegiate / Millersville) drained a 3-pointer on a dish from Blake Jr. Blake Jr. added another bunny before Bowie downed a trey to make the score 20-15 to cap a 10-0 run. The Seahawks' lead was seven in the final moments of the first half when Pierce appeared to hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, but it was waved off and left the score 31-24 at the break in favor of the visitors.
- The Phoenix kept it close throughout the second half. A layup by Bowie cut the deficit to four at 42-38 with 13:04 to play. Just over three minutes later, Blake Jr. was true on a 3-pointer to make it 47-44. St. Mary's remained in front, however, and Wilson was never able to get over the hump. A Bowie triple later made it 56-53 with 5:34 to go before the Seahawks added a little more separation.
Inside The Numbers
- Bowie finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the team in both categories.
- Pierce and Armani Jones (Sr., Chicago, Ill. / Christ The King / Bryant and Stratton) joined him in double-figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
- Pierce was strong on the defensive side as he made five steals. He now has a nine-game steal streak.
