(BALTIMORE) – The shutout streak put on by the Wilson men's soccer team lasted for another half, but two goals in the final 30 helped Goucher go on to victory Wednesday afternoon. The Basics
Score: Wilson 0, Goucher 2
Venue: Beldon Field

How It Happened
- Goucher had the early offensive with a four-shot flurry in the opening 10 minutes. Logan Neves (Jr., Fredericksburg, Va. / Colonial Forge) was called upon for the first in which he made the save, while the others were wide and blocked. After the fourth, Wilson was able to produce a counter attack and saw Eric Arbogast (Jr., Duncansville, Pa. / Hollidaysburg) get a good look at the net with a shot saved by Gopher keeper Ale Sternini.
- Both teams added chances later in the frame with Jace Williams (Jr., Chesapeake, Va. / Hickory) serving as the attacker for the Phoenix with a pair of shots which needed saved. The Blue and White had additional chances late in the half as Tyler Cottone (Jr., Milford, Pa. / Delaware Valley) had a shot saved in the 42nd minute and Andrew Bailey (Jr., Mount Airy, Md. / Linganore) hit the crossbar on a free kick in the 45th.
- A set piece gave Goucher the opportunity it needed midway through the second. Elliot Bezdek took the shot and found the back of the net in the 64th minute. Wilson's chances to equalize were few and far between the rest of the way and the Gophers were able to extend their lead with an insurance goal in the 89th to set up the final score.
