(LATHAM, N.Y.) – The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for April 7, 2025, and
Jackson Wolfe (FY, Abbottstown, Pa. / New Oxford) has received accolades for the fourth time this season. This week he picks up defensive honors making it the third time this season and third time in five weeks.
Wolfe's defensive presence helped Wilson defeat Gallaudet in the regular season finale on Tuesday. The victory solidified the No. 2 seed in this week's conference championship tournament. Against the Bison, he paced the team with 17 digs, but was also effective up front where he rejected four attempts by the hosts.
It's the second time this season he's reached double-figures in digs, and easily passed his previous best of 11 set against Penn State Altoona at the end of January.
The Phoenix ended the regular season with a winning record for the first time in program history. More history will be made on Wednesday as they host Cairn in the United East semifinals. It will be the first time the team has hosted a postseason contest. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
