How It Happened (Game 1)
- It didn't take long for the Phoenix bats to get blazing hot as Jenna Weaver (FY, Camp Hill, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) led off with a double to left. Kaitlyn Keller (FY, Orrtanna, Pa. / Gettysburg) eventually brought her in on an infield single and later scored on an infield error.
- While Cairn scored on in the top of the second, the Phoenix weren't phased and posted an eight-spot on six hits and two errors. Payton Kendall (Sr., McConnellsburg, Pa. / Forbes Road) brought in a pair of them with a single to left field.
- After a scoreless third, the action resumed in the fourth. With the bases loaded, Weaver put the Phoenix up 12-1 with a two-RBI base hit. Kendall then brought in another pair to make it 14-1. Cairn plated a pair in the top of the fifth, but were unable to get any closer.
How It Happened (Game 2)
- The hit parade didn't slow down in Game 2. The Highlanders led off with a home run, but the lead was short-lived. Wilson loaded the bases early which set up Carleigh Magers (FY, Mount Airy, Md. / Urbana) who cleared them on a base hit to left before being thrown out at third.
- After the Highlanders scored again in the top of the second, Wilson opened the flood gates in the second. With the bases empty and two outs, the Phoenix reeled off 12 hits and scored an astronomical 13 runs. Keller tripled twice in the frame, the latter of which scored Kendall and Weaver, before Talbert added another triple. Once the dust settled, the Phoenix were up 16-2.
- Five more runs followed in the third to put Wilson up 21-2. Cairn set the final score with a run in the fifth.
