(LATHAM, N.Y.) – The United East released its all-conference team for the season and Wilson's
Jewels Torres (York, Pa. / West York) has received postseason accolades. The junior guard was named to the third team after leading the Phoenix in assists and finishing third in scoring. Torres is now a two-time selection as she repeats her honors as a third team selection.
As the court general for the Phoenix, she totaled 102 assists on the season and now has over 200 for her career. She was also excellent getting to the free throw line where she ranked second in the league with 107 makes and third with 150 attempts. Both rank in the top five nationally.
Torres scored in double-figures a dozen times with a season-best 18 scored three times in games against Goucher, Penn State Berks, and Cairn. Eleven times she registered at least five assists with a season-best eight coming also against Berks.
