(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Wilson improved its win streak to seven games as it blanked St. Elizabeth in the United East Skye Division opener on Monday afternoon. The Phoenix scored jumped ahead with three goals in the first half while not allowing a single shot to take commanding control of the game.
Annie Smith (Fy., Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) was a catalyst for the offense as she figured into all three scores. Two of them were on assists and got into the goal column herself on the second score.

How It Happened
- The Phoenix wasted little time getting the offense generating with six shots in the opening moments before Rachel Coulter (Jr., Woodbridge, Va. / Garfield) eventually lit up the scoreboard for her first goal of the season on a dish from Smith in the 16th minute.
- It took a little under 10 minutes for the Blue and White to extend their lead, this time with Smith doing the honors on an assist from Bianca Sommers (So., Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg).
- Halley Shaffer (So., Sunbury, Pa. / Line Mountain) added to her league-leading goal total as she capped the scoring in the 37th minute. Smith did the honors once again to give her four points on the day.
Inside The Numbers
- Wilson controlled the tempo throughout the game and it showed on the shot chart as the Phoenix outshot the Eagles 30-2 overall and 14-1 in shots on goal. Wilson took 20 attempts alone in the first half.
- Time of possession heavily favored the Phoenix as they controlled the ball for nearly 70% of the contest. When Wilson had the ball, 79% of the time it was on St. Elizabeth's defensive end.
- Shaffer entered the game as the top shot taker in the nation with 7.00 shots per game. She met her quota and added two it with nine shots on the day.
- Smith's four points give her 15 on the season. She leads the United East with seven assists on the season.
- Rebecca Marakovitz (Jr., New Market, Md. / Linganore) and Erin Roszkowiak (Jr., Cinnaminson, N.J. / Cinnamonson) combined for the shutout, Wilson's sixth clean sheet of the year and fifth consecutive. Marakovitz got the start before being relieved by Roszkowiak in the 62nd minute. Roszkowiak made the only save of the day for the Phoenix as she stopped an Eagles shot from the left side late in the game.
- Wilson extended its streak to 528 minutes without yielding a goal.

- Monday's game was Wilson's first United East Skye Division contest.
- The win against St. Elizabeth was Wilson's fourth consecutive. The Phoenix haven't lost to the Eagles since the 2017 campaign.
