(ROSEMONT, Pa.) – Wilson capped off an impressive three-game sweep of Rosemont with a big victory on the road Monday afternoon. The Phoenix jumped out to an 8-0 lead and were never in danger as they scored in six of the eight innings they batted.
As a result of the rescheduled games with the Ravens, the Phoenix were the home team on the scoreboard for the single nine inning game.

How It Happened
- As they have done many times this season already, the Phoenix wasted little time lighting up the scoreboard. Gerald Buchanan (Gr., Olney, Md. / Montgomery CC) did the honors in the first as he singled to left to bring in Peyton Taylor (Jr., Worton, Md. / Kent County / Cabrini) for a quick 1-0 lead. Seven runs followed in the second as Jack Pachella (Fy., Wayne, Pa. / Radnor), Taylor, Kade Linton (Fy., Frederick, Md. / Tuscarora), Buchanan, Alex Seidleck (So., Crownsville, Md. / Indian Creek), Doc Daniels (So., Deal Island, Md. / Crisfield), and Jordan Daphney (So., Countryside, Fla. / Brunswick) all hit in runs.
- A two RBI single by the Ravens got them on the scoreboard in the top of the third, but the Wilson bats started swinging again with three runs in the fifth as Vinny Hall (Fy., Fulton, Md. / St. Johns), Taylor, and Dean Mercer (Sr., Dunedin, Fla. / Clearwater Central Catholic) all hit in runs. Pachella, Hall, Taylor, Mercer, and Buchanan all hit in runs to extend the lead to 17-2 in the sixth.
- Wilson wasn't done as a Daphney homer in the seventh put the score at 19-2. Bryan DeCarlo (Jr., Gaithersburg, Md. / Hagerstown CC) also went yard with a three-run pinch hit round trip to make the score 23-3 in the eight. Hall drove in the final run later in the frame.
Inside The Numbers
- Doc Daniels (So., Deal Island, Md. / Crisfield) was the starting pitcher and tossed an incredible four innings in which he struck out nine. He wasn't too bad from the plate as well with a pair of hits and three RBI.
- Jacob Whittington (Gr., Salisbury, Md. / Univ. of the Sciences) took over in relief and struck out three in the fifth and worked a pair of scoreless frames.
- Jordan McKenzie (Jr., White Plains, Md. / Southern Maryland), Buchanan, and Pachella all had two hits and three RBI. Brady Andre (Jr., Brookeville, Md. / Sherwood) had three hits.

Wilson was scheduled to head to Mount Aloysius for a doubleheader on Tuesday, but that has been postponed. The next games for the Phoenix will be a doubleheader at Valley Forge on Thursday. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
