How It Happened
- The opening set saw the hosts take the first three points before a Bison error and an ace from Niki Schussler (So., Chambersburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley Christian) put the Phoenix within one early. GU was able to extend its lead, however, as Wilson was forced to make a comeback attempt. - The second set was close for the first half with both teams nearly going point for point. A Menedis kill and a Schussler ace put the game at 11-9 in favor of the Bison, but the hosts went on a massive rally to close out the set and take a 2-0 lead. The momentum carried into the third set as Gallaudet sealed the match.
