CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Wilson College men's volleyball team hosted their first home match this evening against the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College. The Phoenix (0-2, 0-0 CSAC) were defeated by the Chargers (6-3, 0-0 NEAC) by a score of three sets to nil, with set scores of 25-11. 25-13, and 25-10.

How It Happened: Wilson kept things close early on in the first set, trading points with Lancaster Bible. The Chargers then started a six-point run that pushed them in front, 9-2. The Phoenix pulled within six points of their opponents, but Lancaster Bible closed out the first set by a final score of 25-11.

In the second set, Wilson continued to keep things close early. This time they were able to come within two points, 6-4, before the Chargers jumped on an 8-2 run. The run was ended with a Phoenix kill from junior Shae Cardenas (Torrance, CA., West Los Angeles CC), set up by senior Oliver Perry (London, England, Okanagan Secondary). Later in the set, Cardenas gathered another kill, this time set up by junior Andrew Hetzer (Chambersburg, PA., Cumberland Valley Christian). Despite a late rally from Wilson, Lancaster Bible went on to take the second by a score of 25-13.
