Thomas knocked down a three while
Bean and freshman
Jeremiah Carter-Johnson (Richmond, VA., Mills E. Godwin) both added layups that brought the score to 27-22 with just over six minutes left in the first. The Highlanders then started an 18-3 run to close out the half as the Phoenix went into halftime trailing, 45-25.

Bean who connected on a layup and a three-pointer. Moments later,
