The Wilson College Athletics Department is pleased to announce the “Athlete of the Week." Sophomore Megan Potter (Hagerstown, Md., South Hagerstown) was chosen as the Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance on the softball field.

Potter got the opening day start for the Phoenix and pitched a complete game as the team took a 7-4 victory against William Peace University at the Grand Slam Triangle Classic. In the game, Potter scattered 6 hits while striking out 5 batters. In a tight 2-1 victory over Randolph College, Potter again threw a gem in the circle allowing just 1 earned run in 7 innings of work while giving up only 3 hits and striking out 5. Potter and the Phoenix open the home portion of the schedule on Tuesday, April 3 versus Mary Baldwin University at 2:00 p.m.
